Unveiling the Housing Crisis

The Reality of Confined Spaces for Hong Kong’s Poorest

The term 'confined spaces' barely begins to describe the reality. Many residents live in subdivided units, where a single apartment is carved into multiple tiny cubicles. These spaces often lack proper ventilation and natural light. Furthermore, basic amenities like kitchens and bathrooms are frequently shared among numerous tenants.

For example, some people live in areas no larger than a parking space. This forces them to adapt every aspect of their daily routine to their limited surroundings. The video powerfully illustrates the emotional and physical toll these conditions take on individuals and families. It highlights the urgent need for sustainable solutions.
